One Riverdale moment has inspired China’s hottest meme.
Countless people in China are taking to the internet to share videos of drastic transformations while mouthing Veronica Lodge (played by Camila Mendes)’s iconic line, “oh well, karma’s a bitch.” And, boy, is it fierce AF!!
The clips we’ve seen usually start with participants sans makeup and dressed in sweats or pajamas. However, as the Riverdale line ends, those in the footage dramatically reveal glamorous looks as the song Antique Gucci blasts.
These results are NEXT LEVEL. GET ITTTTTT.
Apparently, the videos are being made thanks to the Chinese video app, Dou Yin. From what we’ve read, Dou Yin is like a pimped out version of Musical.ly. It’s said the app has filters, effects, and editing capabilities similar to the now defunct Vine. Not to mention, there is an impressive challenges section where others can compete to make top trending vids.
What do YOU think?? Are you feeling this new viral sensation??
